Meet Melanie

Hi, I’m Melanie Taylor, founder of The Rest Method. My own journey to coaching began after years in a fast paced corporate world, where I worked internationally in Human Resources and saw first hand how stress, time pressure, and lack of confidence can affect women in their work and daily lives. After experiencing burnout myself, I realised the importance of building practical ways to manage time, ease stress, and feel stronger in everyday life.

I’m an ICF certified Career and Wellness Coach, as well as a Life Coach and HR Consultant. With over 20 years’ experience in high pressure workplaces, I understand what professional women are up against: the deadlines, the pressure to perform, and the constant juggle of work and life.

Through The Rest Method, I help professional women:
Manage their time so they feel more in control
Reduce stress and overwhelm before it turns into burnout
Build the confidence to speak up, make changes, and move forward

My coaching is practical and down to earth. I combine structured coaching with real world tools, gentle restorative practices, and insights from my corporate background. The result is clear, grounded support that fits into your everyday life, not another overwhelming to do list.

When I’m not working with clients or hosting retreats, you’ll often find me outdoors in nature, walking and enjoying sunrises and sunsets, practicing yoga and meditation, reading with a cup of tea, or spending time with friends and family.
